The Brain Cactus, also known as the Mammillaria Elongata 'Cristata' cactus, is native to central Mexico. It's a rare form of the Mammillaria Elongata cactus and has a unique, crested shape. Its growth pattern kind of looks like worms or brains, which is how it got the nickname Brain Cactus.
Dischidias are uncommon, exotic, but easy-to-grow houseplants.
GROWTH - Trailing
LIGHT - Medium to bright light
WATER - Fairly drought tolerant, water when soil is dry
The thick glossy leaves and compact growth habit makes this a fabulous indoor pot plant or under-storey filler in the garden. The popular slogan 'Thrives on Neglect' sums it up - it doesn't need much water or light. Suitable for 'brown thumbed' people.
Chain of Hearts is one of my all time favourite house plants, with those amazing wispy strings and those gorgeous heart shaped leaves. They're generally considered to be easy care plants.

GROWTH - Vining
LIGHT - Bright indirect light that hits the top of soil as well as the leaves.
WATER - They're not technically succulents, but should be treated like one in terms of their watering requirements. Use your finger or a moisture meter to check the soil before watering, and give them water equivalent to one fifth of the pot size only when the soil is dry.

HABIT - Tight clumping, typically growing to 40cm

A tropical ornamental vine that has aerial roots growing downwards from the stem. These climbers have striking, perforated deeply green leaves. Monstera adansonii can reach up to 10-20 metres with adequate support.

Popular, super-hard caudex plant which eventually forms a massive swollen base that can be trained into forming amazing bonsai-like shapes. Trim excess stems to control shape.
POSITION - Full sun to partial shade in pots or gardens in well drained soil.
WATERING - Regular watering can be done except in winter but allow mix to dry between watering.
The ultimate indoor plant. Thai Constellation is highly-sought after due to its beautifully variegated leaves. They are difficult and slow to propagate so plants can fetch high prices. They keep their best shape with some direct or artificial light. In warmer climates they will do very well outdoors in shade. Indoors only in colder climates.
