A fast growing creeping plant similar to its cousin 'String of Pearls' and will grow in the same conditions.  Best in baskets; many runners will cascade from pots and can be cut back as desired or let to grow.  Variegated patterns can also appear on new growth.

In ideal conditions they can grow up to half a metre a year. Any excess can be struck for more plants. In their native, South African environment they creep along the ground, between rocks and under shrubbery, their rounded shape evolved to reduce water loss.

LIGHT - Bright, indirect light is ideal. In high light the foliage will change. Keep out of the hot afternoon sun lest their leaves be sunburned or roots damaged. If it is too dark they won’t thrive.

WATER - They don’t need a lot of water. If they are in pots with good drainage and a well draining mix you should be fine whatever you do. Water well, then allow the soil to almost dry out before watering again, you are more likely to kill them with kindness than neglect! They do most of their growing spring/summer and this is when you should water most regularly. After a drier winter they tend to flower better. If they are too dry the foliage will begin the shrivel.

Comes in a 130mm hanging pot.
